  1. Welcome to the Bally's in Atlantic City thread! This is where all the posts regarding poker at Bally's Casino in Atlantic City should go. Some basic information: Bally's has a poker room with 26 tables. Daily Cash Games include: 1/1 NLHE ($2 minimum bet) 1/3 NLHE 2/4/6 LHE ($6 bet on the river) Occasionally, a 2/5 NLHE game is played.
  2. Now, these are 2 separate rooms, but the Wild Wild West (WWW for short here) is used for tournaments while Billy's Poker Room houses the live cash poker games. It's all Hold'em at Bally's, and I've had trouble finding limit games other than $2/4 even on a Saturday, but there is a lot of no-limit action at Billy's.

Atlantic

Bally's Las Vegas is a major venue for no-limit hold'em specialists. The Bally's brand is famous with poker-industry professionals as a provider of software and technology to gaming companies all over the world. With a history of being at the leading edge of the poker business, it is not surprising that Bally's Las Vegas provides one of the most advanced poker rooms in the country.

Bally's Las Vegas gives an interesting contrast between the modern and the classic. Old-fashioned features of the poker room include 9-handed tables as standard, meaning that tighter hand selection pays dividends. Although located in the heart of Las Vegas, Bally's is free from the ostentatious design features that are synonymous with many of the bigger venues. Plain chairs, unfettered plain walls, and a nondescript carpet prove that this is a venue for true poker players rather than Vegas tourists. Bally's is true to this with more than 10 tables of limit and no-limit hold'em action, usually running at stakes of $1-$2, $2-$5, and $3-$6.

Tournaments are the main draw of the daily action at Bally's. Multiple no-limit hold'em events run every day and fill the tournament tables in the room. Alongside this, our correspondents report that the playing experience at Bally's Las Vegas is enhanced by rapid cocktail and tableside service. Comps are $1 for every hour of play. Earnings can be redeemed for meals, which are often large-scale, filling versions of many American favorites.

Are we missing something?

Bally's got its start all the way back in 1932 when they manufactured their first pinball machine, and quickly rose as a leader in the pinball machine market. In the late 1930's they turned their focus to gambling equipment, as the market for mechanical slot machines was starting to grow, and they ended up playing a big role in that as well.

They diversified further into vending machines, as well as continuing to expand their reach with slot machines, and by the 1960's they had 90% of the slot machine market. They came out with the first electronic slot machine in 1964, and when they couldn't expand their own brand anymore, they started buying up other brands.

In the late 1970's, casino gambling opened up in Atlantic City, and they wanted to get in on that, and ended up buying a controlling interest in a project already underway to demolish three adjoining hotels to make way for a casino, the Marlborough and the Dennis hotels, and in 1979 the Bally's Park Place Hotel and Casino was born.

They ended up deciding to keep and just renovate one of the three hotels, the Dennis, which originally served as the casino's hotel. 10 years later, in 1989, they built the 750 room modern hotel tower with pink glass that is now the centerpiece of the property. The 37 story tower was the tallest building in Atlantic City at the time, and still sits as the eighth tallest with all the expansion that has happened since.

The property continued to expand over the years, with 1997 seeing the addition of its second casino, The Wild Wild West casino with a strong Old West motif. In 2000 their name was changed to simply Bally's Atlantic City, and in 2003 they bought the adjacent Claridge Hotel and Casino, which then became the Claridge Tower. The Claridge was for a time used to house Bally's guests but ended up being sold in 2013 and is no longer officially part of the property.

2009 saw more renovations, bringing Bally's Atlantic City to the impressive complex that we see today. The two casinos, the main one and the western themed one, boast a total of 225,000 square feet of gaming space, making it bigger than anything they have in Vegas and turning them into one of the biggest casinos in the country and even the world.

Bally's Atlantic City is now owned by Caesar's Entertainment, one of the world's largest casino gambling companies who run over 50 casinos including not only the Bally's brand but other brands such as The Horseshoe, Harrah's, and Caesar's.

What Bally's Atlantic City Has To Offer

Even without the Claridge Hotel as part of the property, which isn't the case anymore, there's still plenty of accommodations here, with 1,753 rooms to make sure that their guests both gamble with them and stay with them. Atlantic City does get a decent amount of walk up traffic at their casinos, but hotel accommodation is still at the heart of a casino's success here.

Being a highly competitive resort town, with a view on making money at the casino and not so much at the hotel, Bally's Atlantic City offers some great rates, as low as $44 a night including a $20 food credit.

They also offer some nice packages, for what you would normally spend on a regular hotel room, for instance for $134 you can get an upgraded room, a $50 dining credit at Guy Fieri‘s newest restaurant on location, a round of drinks, 2 passes into their spa and fitness club, and a $25 room service credit, as well as a late checkout.

Smoking and non smoking rooms are both available, and they have a wide variety of accommodations, including premium, deluxe, and luxury rooms, with either a king bed, a queen, or two doubles.

Guy Fieri's Chophouse highlights their restaurant selections. There are 11 different places to get food here, including the Diamond Club, exclusive to Diamond Club rewards members only.

Other than the Chophouse, the other selections here are all casual dining or quick bites. They have an Italian restaurant, an Asian noodle one, an oyster bar, a malt shop, a pizza joint, a sub restaurant, a sandwich café, a burger and tacos restaurant, a place that sells cupcakes, and a coffee shop.

So there's lots of variety here to suit everyone's tastes, and all but one offers a casual atmosphere with quick service. Personalized poker chips for wedding favors. The food here is very good though overall and Bally's even boasts that they have the best food in Atlantic City, with most of it being very reasonably priced.

Bally's also offers regular live entertainment and shows, as well as 6 different bars, lounges, and nightclubs you can visit and enjoy your favorite beverages at. They also have a spa with a pool, hot tubs, saunas, basketball and raquetball courts, a gym, and a salon. There are also several shops on site selling jewelry and gifts.

The Casino At Bally's Atlantic City

There are two separate casinos here actually, and those who enjoy the old west will certainly get their fill of this theme at the Wild Wild West Casino, with an exterior that resembles an Old West town, in addition to other Old West decorations inside.

The casinos here utilize the latest in technology as well, for instance they offer a hybrid form of roulette known as Rapid Roulette, with dealers spinning the wheels but the bets being placed by players at electronic terminals. This allows for faster action. They also offer a form of electronic blackjack in addition to their normal table blackjack.

There's lots and lots for slot and video poker players to enjoy here, with their very extensive selection of games. This is a huge casino overall, with all of the biggest and most popular slot machines, and you can move between the two of them all you want to pack even more variety into your play.

There's all sorts of different table games to play as well, starting with the classic favorites of Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps, as well as a number of other choices. Players can also enjoy Three Card Poker, Four Card Poker, Spanish 21, Let It Ride, Caribbean Stud, Pai Gow Tiles, Big Six, Asia Poker, Criss Cross Poker, High Card Flush, and Casino War. This is a huge selection.

There's also their 42 table WSOP Poker Room to check out, with a great selection of both cash games and tournaments, and this room is particularly well known for its poker tournaments. Both Texas Holdem and Omaha are featured, and they also offer other poker formats from time to time.

The player reward program here is a good one, and Atlantic City in general is well known for their generous comps, and Bally's is part of the Caesar's rewards program so you know that things are well run here by experts in the business. They even have a rewards Visa where you can earn casino points just for using your credit card, and these rewards are redeemable at any Caesar's property.

Bally's Atlantic City does stand tall on the Atlantic City casino scene in more ways than one, and offer guests an enjoyable stay on the boardwalk and some great value as well.
